We’re still grinning from our double triumph at the 2021 AHA Awards

“We’re a great place to be” – and last night was proof that we’re not the only ones saying it.

Emerging from the rubble of a year that was 2020, we wasted no time in bringing back to life what our locals missed the most – a good pub with great food and drink, served by even better people. It’s safe to say, we’re doing a pretty good job at it too.

The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) represents the interests of 25 million Australians every year. That’s a lot of people. So recognition from the AHA is a big deal – it shows we’re putting a smile on the faces of everyone who loves Australia’s rich hotel culture. That’s why we’re still on a high from our double triumph at the 2021 AHA Awards for Service Excellence gala dinner held on Monday, 17 May.

The finalists and winners were honoured at the ceremony held at The Palladium, Crown Casino in front of 1,000 guests and professionals of the hotel industry. The AHA (Vic) State Awards for Excellence program was established in the late 1980s to recognise hotels and pubs in Victoria that demonstrate excellence across a range of categories.  We were extremely honoured to be big winners on the night claiming Overall Hotel of the Year -Metropolitan and Best Outdoor Experience. The awards acknowledge all the hard work, energy and passion we’ve shown – and will continue to show – to the hotel, to you and to the hospitality industry at large.

By focusing on our people and our purpose, we’ve been able to offer much more, much better. That explains why you’ve been receiving impeccable service and undivided attention every time you visit.

We take this opportunity to extended a sincere thanks to all our loyal customers, hard working team members, and passionate management team for making it possible for Lower Plenty Hotel to be part of a vibrant local community in the city of Banyule.

As a premium destination venue, the Lower Plenty Hotel has something for everyone – making us a simply, great place to be.
