Get up close and personal with an award-winning winemaker
On Friday 30 November, Lower Plenty Liquor is hosting a wine tasting to remember. With special guest Dylan McMahon – Seville Estate’s Chief Winemaker – this is your chance to taste the best of the Yarra Valley, formally praised by James Halliday.
The Halliday Wine Companion Awards
Every year, renowned wine critic James Halliday acknowledges one winery as the ‘Winery of the Year’. This award celebrates top-quality wine and big contributions to the country’s vibrant wine culture.
For 2019, Seville Estate in the Yarra Valley came out on top – with two of its wines crowned varietal winners.
About Seville Estate
Established by Peter and Margaret McMahon, Seville Estate has been a leader in Yarra Valley’s wine scene for nearly 50 years. Now, their grandson Dylan McMahon has taken the reins.
As Chief Winemaker, Dylan creates first-class wines from grapes grown in the land’s rich volcanic soils and ancient river bed.
According to James Halliday, Seville Estate has been ‘a trophy and gold medal winner’ since day one – and Dylan is carrying on its legacy.
